👉 The Scoop – The One Philosophy, is a very all-encompassing philosophy of service, of being of service to your community, to people, but it transcends that. She has created much more than mere philosophy. She has created a movement that helps people succeed by embracing service.

👉 Decisive Moment #1 – Nancy realized she was not good at public speaking, which she needed to be. She went to a workshop but emerged with much more than public speaking skills… she emerged with a fire in her belly and a desire to succeed. “in that moment I recognized my role as a woman, as a female leader, to lead the charge of supporting, equipping, and empowering more women to claim their space. And that's what that was a big, big turning point”.

👉 Decisive Moment #2 – Covid shut down her business model

👉 Unexpected change or event – First, turning her business model to Zoom, then when Covid went away, turning her business model back to in-person.

👉 What did they do? – My recipe is grounded in the experience and philosophy behind being the one. Everything in my culture is about true connection. Because I have that as a foundation, true connection, true caring, people did come online and feel that we truly cared about them and their success and their results. They came online to tap into that pool and that energy that we bring.

And then in terms of getting them back out to come in person, quite frankly, it was about the hugs. It was about the handshakes. It's about the energy. It's about the synergy that happens in the surprise of who you're going to meet. There's magic that happens in the hallway when you're going to the bathroom at a live event.

👉 About older workers – I would say probably, or hopefully, emotional intelligence. That can be the deciding. A really distinguishing characteristic that adds value that someone who's younger may not have. Emotional intelligence helps with reactive time, responding instead, conflict management, experience and new ideas. I think that's the most powerful thing that older, more mature people can bring to a scenario.
